A key to a worthwhile niche is it has solid income making potential.  Your niche should have targeted traffic.  People need to be looking for exactly what you are offering.  You also would like to have the people arriving at site wanting desperately to spend their money.   If your site is a breezy informational top ten list, you may get people to view, but you will have few conversions.

Find a failed businessman.  Ask him what happened.  I will bet he says, "Not enough customers".   You need sufficient customers for you niche to thrive.   If you are a selling a guide promoting, “Tantalizing Tales about The Terrible Three Toed Sloth” You may rank on Google fast for your keywords.  But how many Three Toed Sloth enthusiasts are out there?
